According to the report, LG Display supplies OLED panels for the 6.1in iPhone 15 Pro and 6.6in iPhone 15 Pro Max (or iPhone 15 Ultra).

Apple orders received by LG Display have been scheduled from May to the end of this year, and the number of orders is estimated to exceed 3000 million. CTOnews.com learned from the report that Apple plans to produce 9000 million iPhone 15 series phones this year, of which the Pro model accounts for 60%.

LG Display last year supplied OLED panels for iPhone 14 Standard Edition and iPhone 14 Pro Max models.

Among them, iPhone 14 Pro Max uses low temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) thin film transistor (TFT), and low temperature polysilicon (LTPS) TFT is supplied for iPhone 14 standard edition.

DSCC, a screen supply chain consultancy, previously reported that low-temperature polysilicon (LTPO) costs $8 more than low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 55 yuan) and panel costs $10 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 69 yuan).

LTPS uses laser heating to form polysilicon, while LTPO increases the oxidation process, so the cost is more expensive. For consumers, the biggest advantage of LTPO is that it supports dynamic refresh rate, which can be adjusted in the range of 1-120Hz according to the usage scenario.
