CTOnews.com, April 21 (Xinhua)-- the Wall Street Journal published a new article saying that Apple's olive branch was a "kiss of death." The report says potential partners have accused Apple of plagiarizing their ideas, while Apple argues that it abides by the rules.

The New York Times disclosed Apple's "sherlock" behavior in 2019, in which Apple poached employees and technology from smaller potential competitors, integrated the ideas of third-party developers, and left third-party apps "nowhere to go."

The term refers to about 20 years ago, when Apple released a software product called "sherlock" to help users find files and search the Internet on their Mac computers.

After other companies created more feature-rich Watson apps, Apple updated sherlock apps with many of the same features.
