CTOnews.com Canonical today released a Linux kernel security update for all supported Ubuntu distributions, fixing 17 security vulnerabilities.

This update applies to Ubuntu 22.10, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS users, with three vulnerabilities affecting all Ubuntu versions.

CTOnews.com attaches the following three major vulnerabilities:

CVE-2023-1281: Use-after-free vulnerability in Traffic Control Index (TCINDEX)

CVE-2022-47929: null pointer dereference in network queuing rules

CVE-2023- 26545: Double-free vulnerability in MPLS implementations

Native attackers can exploit these vulnerabilities to attack Ubuntu 22.10, Ubuntu 22.04, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS distributions, resulting in a denial of service (system crash) or arbitrary code execution.
