Li Wenguang said that Huawei chose the multi-sensor fusion collaborative autopilot technology route, compared with Tesla's pure visual route, has a higher ceiling and a better experience. He said, "We have also seen the experience video of Tesla FSD posted by Tesla users in North America. Combined with the experience and evaluation videos of domestic users, compared with the simple roads in North America, even in the more complex road scenes in China, our intelligent driving experience is obviously better than Tesla."

Li Wenguang believes that autopilot provides services, and whether users are willing to pay depends on whether the service can solve users' problems and whether the experience is good enough. He points out that autopilot has two needs: safety and time. As long as it can meet these two needs of users, there will be market space.

According to Li Wenguang, autopilot is still in the L2 + stage and will develop to L3, L4 and even self-driving in the future. He predicts that high-speed scenes will be the first to achieve L3-level commercial use, while parks and basement scenes are more suitable for self-driving. On the other hand, the urban scene should be assured on the fixed line. In addition, the parking scene is relatively simple, and Huawei strives to let users rest assured this year.

He said that L3 autopilot also involves the development of a lot of standards and regulations, but the technical capabilities have to be prepared first, and the application in high-speed scenarios has happened in the past two years.
