CTOnews.com April 20, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced on Wednesday in an earnings call with investors that the company will hold Cybertruck delivery activities in the third quarter of 2023. The much-anticipated electric pickup has been delayed for more than three years and production is expected to start this summer, but Mr Musk said mass production would not begin until next year.

"it takes time to get the production line up and running, and it's a very radical product," Mr. Musk said on Wednesday. "it's made differently from other cars." CTOnews.com noted that Musk declined to give more details about the car at the meeting, such as mileage or unique features, saying only that the information would be released at the delivery event. "I can confidently say that this is an incredible product," Musk said. "it's Hall of Fame."

The delay in Cybertruck may be related to the company's decision to use stainless steel, which is much more expensive than the steel commonly used in car manufacturing. It cannot be stamped into fender and other parts, because it is elastic and will return to its original shape. And it requires special welding technology-all of which complicates Cybertruck's production of other Bitzra models. Even because of the unique design of Cybertruck, even less important parts, such as wipers, need to be customized.
