CTOnews.com, April 20, Microsoft today released a preview update of Win11 Build 23440 for Dev Channel's Windows Insider project members. Microsoft has also released an ISO image for this update to meet users' system reinstallation needs.

CTOnews.com attached the update of Win11 Build 23440 preview as follows:

[start menu] Microsoft is inviting more users to test the "Recommended" in the start menu. In this preview update, Microsoft embeds a link in the recommendation to quickly access the update log for Build 23440.

For users who do not like recommendation, you can adjust it through Settings > Personalization > start.

[taskbar and system tray] users can hide the time and date on the system tray. Users can make adjustments by right-clicking the time area in the system tray.

After right-clicking the network icon in the system tray, you can see new options for diagnosing network problems.

[hover over the taskbar search box to open the search window] users no longer need to click on the search box on the taskbar, or use keyboard shortcuts to trigger Windows Search, as long as the mouse hovers over the search box on the taskbar, the search window will be automatically called out. (update: Microsoft officially suspended this feature due to the discovery of BUG)

[Windows focus (Windows Spotlight)] Windows focus enables a new icon. Users can open Windows Spotlight by right-clicking the desktop, selecting Personalization, and then selecting the Windows Spotlight theme.
