CTOnews.com April 19 news, Tesla Autopilot project product director Kate Park recently announced to leave Tesla, joined the AI data platform Scale AI, as product director.

Kate Par said on Twitter that she enjoyed building the Autopilot data engine in Tesla and was happy to extend the product to industries ranging from computer vision to large language models.

According to CTOnews.com, Kate Park, a former computer science student at Stanford University, joined Tesla in April 2018 as an Autopilot computer vision intern. Prior to that, she had internships at Uber, Palantir and Google. After working for nearly five years, Tesla has played a number of roles in the autopilot team and contributed to the development of the project.

Many Tesla fans may recall that late last year, Tesla held an AI Day event, where Kate Park demonstrated the Autopilot data engine and how it can improve neural networks to improve autopilot performance. Kate Park was also one of several inventors of Tesla's 2020 patent for autonomous and user-controlled vehicle summoning targets, which she co-authored with Elon Musk and Andrej Karpathy.

Kate Park will travel to Scale AI in San Francisco. Scale AI said, "at Scale AI, our mission is to accelerate the development of AI applications. We believe that in order to create the best model, we need the best data." Scale AI cooperates with Microsoft, Meta and other companies and customers, as well as with Open AI, Cohere and other AI companies.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Kate Park is currently the product management director of Scale AI.
