According to the official announcement, the two sides will give full play to the forward-looking and technological advantages of the leading enterprises in their respective industries, jointly devote themselves to the innovative development and production of lidar integration solutions, and provide new ideas for lidar installation that are both beautiful and practical at the critical moment when lidar accelerates mass production.

But there are also many technical difficulties in this installation location. First of all, the lidar detection signal after passing through the front gear of the car will cause partial attenuation of the signal, which will affect the detection performance of the lidar; secondly, the built-in scheme will amplify the noise and heat dissipation performance of the lidar motor because the driver and lidar are in the same space, which puts forward new requirements for the power of lidar. Finally, in order to facilitate the integration with the original camera module, the volume and quality of the lidar need to be more strictly controlled.

By improving the production process and changing the glass combination structure, Fuyao Group has realized the optimization of infrared transmittance in the characteristic band of lidar, and solved the technical problems such as the attenuation of lidar signal caused by the front windshield of curved structure. it fills the gap in the domestic market in this field, and takes the lead in promoting the practical application of lidar integration behind the front windshield.

Innovusion has created a new highly integrated forward lidar product Robin-E, which is only 117mm*100mm*44mm in size, with a total weight of about 450g, power less than 9W and noise less than 20dB, further solving the problem of lidar integration behind the front shield.

Based on the high concern about the scheme of lidar integration behind the front shield, the two sides have started joint research and development to integrate their latest technology products, and the preliminary scheme has realized the integration of lidar and camera behind the front shield. the detection performance attenuation is less than 10%.
