CTOnews.com, April 19 (Xinhua)-- according to UDN, Apple's 15-inch MacBook Air notebook will continue to use M2 chips due to TSMC's production schedule adjustment.

Sources say Apple's M3 chip will be mass-produced by TSMC's N3B process. Although TSMC claims that N3B is moving forward as planned, mass production of M3 chips will have to wait until at least the third quarter of 2023. So the current N3B capacity is reserved for the A17 Bionic on Apple's iPhone 15 model.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said he found an unreleased 15-inch MacBook Air in the App Store developer's log. The model identifier is "Mac 1515 3" and runs the macOS 14 system. The notebook is equipped with 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU with the same specifications as the M2 chip.
