CTOnews.com April 19, according to the German science and technology media deskmodder reported that Microsoft recently released a Defender update to the Win11 system to fix the local security agency protection (LSA) false alarm problem.

Microsoft released a KB5007651 update (version 1.0.2302.21002) for Windows Defender in March, which will force users to install it.

Some users reported that after installing the update, Windows Security displayed "Local Security authority protection is off. Your device may be vulnerable" (local security agency protection has been turned off. Your device may be attacked.

CTOnews.com learned from the report that Microsoft released the updated KB5007651 update again this month (version 1.0.2303.27001), fixing the LSA false alarm problem. Microsoft corrected this problem by updating the module, which is now called "hardware-assisted stack protection in kernel mode".
