CTOnews.com April 19, the Fedora project team today officially announced the release of Fedora 38. The biggest highlight is that WorkStations Edition has enabled the GNOME 44 desktop environment.

Fedora 38 uses the Noto font, shortens the shutdown time, initially supports a unified kernel, and uses a Xfce 4.18 desktop environment.

The GNOME 44 desktop environment was released in March this year, codenamed "Kuala Lumpur", where the web browser Epihaphy has been migrated to GTK4, and the application calls the system GTK folder filter to enable a new grid view.

Fedora 38 also updates gcc 13, Golang 1.20, LLVM 16, Ruby 3.2, TeXLive2020 and PHP 8.2 programming languages and system library packages for developers.
