CTOnews.com, April 18 (Xinhua) according to the 2023 South Korean Rich list released by Forbes, the total wealth of the 50 richest people fell by 18% to $106 billion from $130 billion last year.

Private equity master Jin Bingxu reached the top for the first time this year. His private equity firm Ambokai has more than $26 billion in assets under management, and his wealth reached $9.7 billion, an increase of $2 billion over last year. Samsung heir Lee Jae-yong firmly ranked second for the third year in a row, and his wealth fell to $8 billion from $9.2 billion last year due to falling demand for memory chips and smartphones Jin Fanxiu, who ranked No. 1 last year, almost halved to fifth, and the share price of its company, Kakao, fell sharply.

A total of 10 of last year's entrants failed this year, including three founders of online game companies: Kim Dae-il of Pearl Abyss, Chang Byung-gyu of Krafton and Park Kwan-ho of Wemade.
