CTOnews.com noted that the "NEXT" plan is an acronym for New EV+XEV Transition, implying that GAC GROUP adheres to the "EV+ICV" (electrified + intelligent) "XEV+ICV" (hybrid + intelligent) two-wheel drive route to realize GAC MOTOR's transformation to XEV, that is, PHEV (plug-in hybrid), REV (add-on electric vehicle) and HEV (hybrid).

GAC MOTOR will also make a comprehensive effort in the field of PHEV, and PHEV products including the second generation GS8 and the new B-class MPV will be launched one after another. Chuanqi E9 is equipped with 2.0T plug-in power, electric direct drive 2-gear DHT, matching GMC400 hybrid special gearbox and Guangzhou Automobile magazine battery, etc., the comprehensive life of WLTC condition exceeds 1000km.
