CTOnews.com, April 17, Blackmagic Design recently released a major update to the public beta version of DaVinci Resolve 18.5.

This update adds new artificial intelligence tools and more than 150 new features, including major improvements to the clip page editing toolset, new Resolve FX, enhanced Fusion tools (including USD support), and powerful new Fairlight audio mixing automation.

Three new menus have been added to the clip page, including tools such as switching ripple clips and resynchronizing audio. You can use automatic voice-to-text to quickly generate subtitles for timelines, or make faster clips through keyword search. The Resolve FX lighting effect allows the toner to add virtual lights to the scene, and VFX collaboration that supports USD generic scene descriptions is now faster. In addition, you can group tracks in Fairlight for faster audio mixing automation and editing.
