According to Dr. Tao Huabing, head of PEM hydrogen production project at Jiageng Innovation Laboratory and chairman of Ludao hydrogen Energy (Xiamen) Technology Co., Ltd., the high-performance megawatt PEM water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment uses perfluorosulfonic acid proton exchange membrane and pure water as reactant, with fast dynamic response, high hydrogen production purity, compact structure and high safety.

Under the condition of current density 2.5 A/cm2 and DC power consumption 4.3 kWh / Nm3,1 A/cm2, the DC power consumption of the product is 3.87 kWh / Nm3. It has the characteristics of high safety and low cost, and is in the leading level in the industry, and the localization rate of equipment and materials is more than 90%.

Jiageng Innovation Lab said that the biggest technical challenge facing PEM hydrogen production equipment is the core equipment-electrolytic cell, which relies on scarce precious metal materials such as iridium and platinum. The product released this time has successfully achieved the subversive high-performance index with low iridium load in China, and has a broad application prospect, which makes the industrialization of PEM hydrogen production technology a big step forward.

During the press conference, Ludao hydrogen Energy (Xiamen) Technology Co., Ltd. signed investment intention agreements with Beijing Mingde Investment, Xiamen Deyi Capital and other investment institutions.
