CTOnews.com April 16 news, the United States Brazil Midea Industria do Brasil (MIDB) new factory officially laid the foundation, investment of more than 700 million yuan, located in the state of Minas Baoso city, is expected to be completed and put into operation in July 2024.

CTOnews.com learned that the new factory covers an area of more than 70,000 square meters, with an annual production capacity of 1.3 million units. It will also integrate a large number of digital production technologies and innovative technologies. The first batch of smart refrigerator products will be put into production in July next year and sold simultaneously. In addition to supplying the local market, the products will also be sold to other markets in South America.

Midea is building its third factory in Brazil in Bauso. Wang Jianguo, vice president of Midea Group, president of smart home business group and president of Midea International, said that this factory is Midea's first investment in Baosuo City, covering refrigerators, washing machines and other household appliances. Midea aims to become one of the leading brands in Brazil's refrigerator industry within four years.

At present, Midea has about 200 subsidiaries in the world, 20 R & D centers and 18 main production bases overseas, about 30,000 overseas employees, business coverage in more than 200 countries and regions, and settlement currencies up to 22.
