According to the Financial Associated Press, Baidu Apollo's flagship product, City Smart Apollo City Driving Max, carries a "lightweight high-precision map", which is nearly 80% lighter than the traditional high-precision map commonly used in the industry, and can quickly promote urban generalization at a more reasonable cost.

In addition, the main highlights of Apollo City Driving Max are as follows:

Safety: pure visual perception of urban roads, true redundancy of Lidar

Familiar road: the most driving light HD map, map data dynamic preservation, BEV online mapping

Good experience: data closed loop drives model iteration, routine experience evaluation closed loop.

At the same time, black sesame intelligent domestic chip has become Baidu Apollo intelligent driving preferred domestic chip partner, Apollo Highway Driving Pro will be deployed to Huashan 2 A1000 chip computing platform, and will be officially released in the third quarter of this year.

In addition, Baidu said that Baidu smart driving will cross the gap in 2026, when the market penetration of L2 + high-end intelligent driving system models such as memory parking, high-speed navigation and city navigation will exceed 15%.
