On April 15, CTOnews.com announced that it would concentrate resources and efforts on artificial intelligence technology serving the common interests of all mankind, and set up a new independent research organization to explore the nature of AGI (artificial General Intelligence).

CTOnews.com learned that Magic Square Quantification was founded in 2015 and relies on quantitative investment in mathematics and artificial intelligence. In 2019, Magic Square AI registration was established, dedicated to the algorithm and basic application research of AI. The AI software and hardware R & D team developed its own magic square "Firefly 1" AI cluster, which carries 500 graphics cards and uses 200Gbps high-speed network to connect. In the same year, Magic Square quantified into 10 billion private equity.

In 2021, Magic AI invested one billion to build "Firefly II". In the first phase, it established a technical scheme of task-level time-sharing scheduling to share AI computing power, and made joint efforts in both software and hardware. "Firefly II" achieved the software and hardware architecture innovation of more than 800-port switch interconnection and core extension subtree in 2022, breaking through the physical limitations of the first phase and doubling the computing capacity.
