CTOnews.com, April 15 (Xinhua)-- Samsung Electronics (Samsung Electronics) plans to purchase a batch of batteries from LG Energy Solution for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable phones, according to South Korean media The Elec.

It is reported that the battery supply cooperation between Samsung and LG began as early as three years ago, and LG mainly supplies batteries to high-end models such as the Galaxy S series.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 collapsible phones have recently been certified by South Korean regulators, and the shared battery photos show the addition of pull pieces, making it easier to remove the battery during maintenance.

However, certification documents show that the main battery suppliers are Vietnam's ITM Semiconductor and China's Ningde Yitong Electronics (Ningde Amperex). Foreign technology media SamMobile speculates that there will be a number of battery suppliers for these two foldable phones, and LG is one of them.
