Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

On the evening of April 14, Beijing time, Twitter reportedly announced today that it now allows Twitter Blue paying users to post tweets with a length of no more than 10000 characters.

Twitter said in a statement: "We are improving the writing and reading experience on Twitter! Starting today, Twitter supports tweets up to 10000 characters in length and supports bold and italic text formats. You can sign up for Twitter Blue now to use this new feature. "

Twitter Blue is a subscription product for Twitter that costs $8 a month (CTOnews.com notes: currently about 55 yuan). It offers more features than the free version, including a blue checkmark.

Twitter's limit on tweets was 140 characters for years, only doubling to 280 characters in 2017. Twitter CEO Elon Musk said last month that Twitter would soon allow users to post "long tweets" of up to 10,000 characters.

Apparently, the 10,000-character cap allows users to write a longer form of tweet, similar to a standard article, rather than the "short text" form Twitter has insisted on for years.

Twitter has also expanded the paid option, allowing users to subscribe to their favorite content creators in exchange for their paid content. Musk said creators will be able to get a majority share of subscription revenue.

Musk said Twitter would receive nothing for the first year, and content creators would receive all the "rewards" Twitter received. For example, if the user uses iOS or Android, the creator receives 70% of the subscription fee (30% charged by the platform); if the user uses the web platform, the subscription fee is 92%(depending on the payment service used by the "tipper").

After the first year, iOS and Android fees will drop to 15%, but Twitter will add a small fee to this, depending on the "reward amount."
