CTOnews.com, April 14 (Xinhua)-- Motorola launched the Edge 40 Pro phone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 earlier this month, and the Edge 40 is expected to arrive soon, and the smartphone is now available on Geekbench.

Motorola Edge 40 phones scored 1105 and 3542 in single-core and multi-core tests of the Geekbench 6, respectively. The device runs Android 13 with on-board 8GB memory and carries MediaTek MT6891Z_Z / CZA SoC,CPU, including four 2GHz cores and four 2.6GHz cores.

Geekbench did not mention the name SoC, but there are rumors that Motorola Edge 40 will use MediaTek's unreleased Tianji 8020 chip. It is worth noting that the code "MT6891Z_Z / CZA" mentioned in the CPU information section of the Geekbench list is similar to the model code of Tianji 1100, namely MT6891Z / CZA. Tianji 1100 has eight cores of CPU, including four 2GHz + four 2.6GHz cores.

Other leaked specifications for Motorola's Edge 40 phones include a 6.55-inch 144Hz Full HD+ pOLED display, UFS 3.1 storage up to 256GB, and 4400mAh batteries that support 68W wired and 15W wireless charging.

The smartphone will be equipped with a 50MP main camera (CTOnews.com note: support OIS optical anti-shake), 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera and 32MP selfie camera. It will be equipped with screen fingerprint recognition and stereo speakers with Dolby panoramic sound (Dolby Atmos) tuning. Motorola Edge 40 will also support IP68 protection levels.

Motorola Edge 40 phones will have star green, moon blue, eclipse black and extraordinary magenta colors.
