The vehicles are based on the Toyota Sena Autono-Maas (S-AM) model and have accumulated more than 50000 kilometers of road test mileage.

CTOnews.com learned from the official Wechat account of Pony Zhixing that the Robotaxi model, which was successfully launched on the road, was equipped with the sixth-generation self-driving hardware system of Pony Zhixing. The sensor kit uses more stable and lower-cost vehicle gauge-level production components, including 4 solid-state lidars, 3 blind lidars, 3 millimeter wave radars, and 11 cameras. In addition, through the self-developed sensor cleaning system, the performance of the new generation of Robotaxi vehicles in rain, snow, fog, dust and other complex extreme weather has also been greatly improved.

Thanks to policy support from Beijing's Yizhuang high-level self-driving demonstration zone, the vehicles are expected to enter unmanned road tests soon, covering an area of 60 square kilometers and morning peak hours in the core area of Yizhuang, followed by unmanned Robotaxi self-driving travel services for residents in the demonstration area, Xiaoma Zhihang officials said.
