Mr Musk added that within the first 12 months of the service's launch, publishers would receive all subscription revenue except for mobile platform fees (30 per cent of iOS or Android stores), from which Twitter would not withhold a penny. The web version allows creators to get 92% of their income, so Musk also recommends this option.

There is a hashtag called "Monetization" in the Twitter settings, which allows you to turn on the paid subscription feature, but Musk did not elaborate on the details of the feature.

Google disagrees with Mr Musk because Google Play reduced its share from 30 per cent to 15 per cent in 2022.

Twitter's advertising revenue fell sharply last year, and Musk did everything he could to increase it. Since taking over Twitter, Musk has adjusted his product and organizational structure, launched a payment service for Twitter-certified blue hook, and laid off 80% of his staff.

Musk said in an interview on Wednesday that Twitter is now basically breaking even.
