It is not clear when the first beta of iOS 16.6 will be released, but prior to the WWDC of the past three years, the first beta of iOS 13.6, iOS 14.6 and iOS 15.6 was all available to developers. According to CTOnews.com, Apple WWDC 2023 is scheduled to be held from June 6 to 10, Beijing time, when Apple is expected to release iOS 17 and other new software.

Given the upcoming release of iOS 17, iOS 16.6 is likely to be a minor update that is mainly used for patching.
