Apple said in its patent description that users may consume a lot of computing resources if they want to embed video in Keynote apps, and they usually don't use real-time video.

In its patent, Apple outlines a new solution that provides faster and more efficient methods and interfaces for real-time video for users on devices such as Mac, iPhone and iPad.
