CTOnews.com April 13 news, AMD today released the Radeon PRO W7900 graphics card. Officials say this is the first professional graphics card based on the advanced AMD microchip design and the first professional graphics card to support DisplayPort 2.1s.

According to reports, the AMD Radeon PRO W7000 series graphics card uses the world's first workstation GPU architecture based on AMD advanced small chip (Chiplet) design, which can provide real multitasking performance and incredible energy efficiency. The new series of graphics cards is also the first professional workstation GPU with AMD Radiance Display Engine to support DisplayPort 2.1, providing a superior visual experience, higher resolution and more available colors than ever before.

Designed for demanding workloads, the AMD Radeon PRP W7900 graphics card delivers 61 TFLOPS (FP32) peak single-precision performance and provides 1.5x stronger geometric performance in the SPECviewperf 2020 benchmark. It also has the GDDR6 memory of 48GB, which is 1.5 times the memory capacity of the previous generation graphics card 32GB. The AMD Radeon PRO W7800 graphics card is designed for heavy workloads, with 45 TFLOPS (FP32) peak single precision performance and 32GB GDDR6 video memory.

The suggested retail price of the AMD Radeon PRO W7900 is $3999 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 27513 yuan). The suggested retail price of the AMD Radeon PRO W7800 is $2499 (currently about 17193 yuan). The AMD Radeon PRO W7000 series workstation graphics cards are expected to be available in leading e-commerce / retailers in the second quarter of 2023.
