CTOnews.com April 13, Ricoh Pentax gladly released the Kmuri 3 Mark III Monochrome, a black-and-white version of Pentax's flagship APS-C 3 Mark III, which can only take black-and-white photos and videos. It carries the same 2570-megapixel backlight sensor and removes the color filter.

According to reports, Pentax PENTAX KMel 3 Mark III Monochrome has three custom image modes designed for black-and-white photography. In addition to the standard mode, it also provides Hard mode for high-contrast images and Soft mode for high-tone and low-contrast images. Each mode allows the user to make subtle adjustments to parameters such as hue, contrast, and sharpness.

In addition, the exterior design of the camera has also been customized to reflect that it is a black and white camera. The design features include white backlighting on the LCD data panel, "monochrome" printed on the upper left shoulder of the rear panel, a menu screen with a black-and-white visual scheme by default, and various camera buttons presented in grayscale patterns.

In terms of specific parameters, the ISO of the camera has been changed from 100-1600000 to 200-1600000. Other specifications are basically the same as KMel 3 Mark III, and the highest support for 4K30P black and white video.
