CTOnews.com April 13, Microsoft announced today that it is preparing an update for HoloLens 2 display users and confirms that the system suitable for the head display is in sync with the Win11 system.

Microsoft has currently invited Windows Insider project members to test it, which is expected to be available to users in an optional feature update in June 2023.

CTOnews.com learned from the press release that the new version of the HoloLens 2 header is 22621, the same as the current Win11 Beta version. The last major system update shown in HoloLens 2 dates back to November 2022, introducing new policies and security updates.

In terms of functionality, HoloLens 2 header display developers can use the WebView 2 control of the Edge browser to provide Web application experience. In addition, the new version will also introduce Dynamics 365Guides mode, which allows customers to draw freely anywhere during video calls. The new version will also introduce "Restricted Mode" (restricted mode), which makes it easy for administrators to control which applications can be accessed by HoloLens 2 headers.
