CTOnews.com April 12 news, today, Mercedes-Benz released first-quarter global sales figures. Mercedes-Benz said sales rose slightly in the first quarter of this year, boosted by sales of electric and premium cars.

Mercedes-Benz's total global sales in the first quarter were 503500 vehicles up 3 per cent from a year earlier, of which pure electricity sales were 51600, up 89 per cent from a year earlier and a penetration rate of 10.25 per cent. Among them, EQB sales increased by 189% Die EQA sales increased by 64% Die EQS SUV sales reached 5500 vehicles.

By market, the European market remained the main driver of Mercedes-Benz, up 8 per cent from a year earlier to 163900 vehicles, while the North American market grew 1 per cent to 75100 vehicles.

In the Chinese market, Mercedes-Benz sold 191000 vehicles in the first quarter, up 3 per cent from a year earlier. Specific pure electricity sales were not announced, but Mercedes-Benz said pure electricity sales in China rose 109 per cent in the first quarter compared with the same period a year earlier. Mercedes-Benz said EQS SUV and domestic EQE SUV would be listed in China in the second quarter.
