Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, April 12, according to the National Space Science Center, April 11-12, 2023 Jointly sponsored by the Zijinshan Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Space Science Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the National Space Science data Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the "Kuafu No.1" observation data trial release and data use training meeting was held online.
Nearly 400 heliophysics experts and scholars from 25 countries, including the United States, Britain, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Japan, Russia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Spain, India, Brazil, Argentina, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Finland, Ukraine, South Korea, Greece, Indonesia, Bangladesh, North Korea and China, signed up for the two-day meeting. The meeting was held successively in China-America and China-Europe.
As previously reported by CTOnews.com, Kuafu-1, whose full name is "Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory" (ASO-S), is another space science satellite developed and launched by the second phase of space science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which was successfully launched from the long March 2d carrier rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite launch Center on October 9, 2022. " The scientific goal of the Kuafu-1 satellite aims at "one magnetic storm, two storms", that is, simultaneously observing the solar magnetic field and the two most violent explosive phenomena on the sun-flares and coronal mass ejections-- to study their formation, evolution, interaction and correlation with each other, and to provide support for space weather forecasting.
After half a year of in-orbit debugging, the "Kuafu-1" satellite has obtained about 80TB's original solar observation data. According to the space science pilot project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the "Kuafu No. 1" data release policy, and taking into account the operation of the satellite, the satellite already has the conditions for the quasi-real-time trial opening of some data.
According to reports, at the two-day meeting, members of the "Kuafu-1" scientific team introduced the satellite in-orbit test, the current on-orbit status of each instrument, the operation of the satellite operation and control center, as well as the operation of the satellite science and data center. The participants were emphatically introduced to the three satellite payload observation data, data processing and the use of related data analysis software. And guide the participants to practice, learn and master the download, analysis and processing methods of "Kuafu-1" satellite data.
Gan Weiqun, chief scientist of the satellite and researcher of Zijinshan Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, announced at the meeting the scope of the "Kuafu-1" satellite observation data, including all observations from the solar hard X-ray imager (HXI) since April 1, some observations from the diurnal vector magnetic imager (FMG), and some observations from the Lehmann Alpha Solar Telescope (LST). Including the quasi-real-time observation data after them. Gan Weiqun also announced the "Kuafu No. 1" international visiting scholar program at the meeting to encourage international cooperative research based on the "Kuafu No. 1" observation data.
The rich and colorful hard X-ray structure (isoline) of solar flares was observed with high quality by HXI load on ▲ "Kuafu-1" satellite, National Space Science Center.
A series of solar activity phenomena were observed by LST payload on ▲ "Kuafu-1" satellite, National Space Science Center.
The FMG load on the ▲ "Kuafu-1" satellite observed changes in the longitudinal magnetic field before the flare erupted. Gan Weiqun of the National Space Science Center of Tuyuan said: "as far as solar physics is concerned, it is an international practice to open up the observation data of solar exploration satellites. From the end of the meeting, the ever-increasing quasi-real-time observation data of the 'Kuafu-1' satellite will be open to colleagues at home and abroad without difference, and data sharing will be realized. In the follow-up, depending on the satellite in-orbit test, the scientific team will make timely adjustments to achieve the quasi-real-time opening of all satellite observation data. Data opening is only a means, and its purpose is to achieve the scientific goal of the satellite. Next, while providing good services, we will strive to promote the extensive use of Kuafu-1 satellite observation data by solar physicists at home and abroad to carry out frontier research in solar physics, strengthen cooperation, and strive for early results, more results, and great results.
