CTOnews.com April 12, Elon Musk (Elon Musk) announced in his latest tweet that the clean-up of legacy Twitter accounts will be completed by April 20 to ensure that accounts that have not yet purchased Twitter Blue services do not display blue verification badges.

Musk is actively promoting the Twitter Blue subscription service, which will re-authenticate previous Twitter accounts. CTOnews.com learned from the report that a number of media, including the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, said they would not buy Twitter Blue services.

Musk had previously said that the clean-up would be completed earlier this month, which caused legacy accounts to also display verification badges, making the tweet flow chaotic and users unable to determine whether an account had been authenticated.
