Orange Pi 5B adopts Ruixin micro-RK3588S new generation octal 64-bit processor (CTOnews.com note: quad-core A76 + quad-core A55), 8nm process, main frequency up to 2.4GHz, integrated ARM Mali-G610 MP4 GPU, embedded high performance 3D and 2D image acceleration module, built-in AI accelerator NPU up to 6 Tops computing power, 4GB / 8GB / 16GB / 32GB (LPDDR4/4x) and 32GB / 64GB / 128GB / 256GB eMMC, dual-frequency Wi-Fi6, BT5.0, BLE support It has up to 8K display processing capacity.

Orange Pi 5B has a wealth of interfaces, including HDMI output, Type-C, USB3.0, USB2.0, RJ45 gigabit network port, TF card socket, 3.5mm headphone Jack, MIPI LCD interface, MIPI Camera interface, multi-functional 26 Pin expansion interface, etc.; it can be widely used in high-end tablet, edge computing, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, AR / VR, intelligent security, smart home and other fields, covering AIoT various industries.

Orange Pi 5B supports Orangepi OS, the operating system officially developed by Orange Pi. At the same time, it supports operating systems such as Android 12 and Debian 11, such as Ubuntu 22.04.

Based on Orange Pi 5, there are two main upgrades to Orange Pi 5B:

First, add wireless communication function. Add Wi-Fi6 + BT5.0 module on the basis of Orange Pi 5 to support BLE. Wi-Fi supports 2T2R 802.11 ax / ac / a / b / g / n, uses 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, and has the MIMO standard. The Wi-Fi uses two antennas, one of which is shared with BT and uses the PCIe 2.1 interface, and the BT5.0 uses the UART/ PCM interface.

Second, add 32GB / 64GB / 128GB / 256GB eMMC memory. Orange Pi 5 has a M.2M-Key socket expansion slot that allows users to connect to SSD. But with 32GB / 64GB/ 128GB / 256GB eMMC on the Orangepi 5B board, users can buy SSD at no extra cost and choose different sizes of eMMC according to their own needs.

Compared with the previous generation of Ruixin micro RK3399, Ruixin micro RK3588S chip CPU and GPU improve the performance by 4 times and 8 times respectively.

Orange Pi 5B built-in 8K VPU, support 8K@60fps video decoding and output, as well as 8K@30fps video coding, powerful video codec ability to make the picture 8K HD display, for game enthusiasts and moviegoers to provide a complete 8K visual experience. In the actual test, Orange Pi 5B is good enough for popular games such as "Arena of Valor" and "Yuan Shen".

At present, there are four official versions on the shelves, namely: 4GB memory + 32GB eMMC, 8GB memory + 64GB eMMC, 16GB memory + 128GB eMMC, and 16GB memory + 256 GB eMMC are priced at RMB 699, 869, 1149 and 1299 yuan respectively.
