Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com April 11 news, Nintendo Switch platform game masterpiece "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" will be released on May 12, and as early as February this year, a large number of game album pictures were leaked on the Internet, showing Link's various costumes, other important NPC characters, enemies, props, scenes and other important elements.

How could Nintendo let this serious theft go? According to TorrentFreak's latest news, legal documents indicate that Nintendo has targeted a Discord user and is now trying to obtain his identity.

On February 21, Nintendo sent a DMCA notice to Discord. The complaint is against Discord channel called "Kingdom Tears Official Discord Server."

The notice refers to six specific URL links that contain images or links to images "from Nintendo's copyrighted and unreleased The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom video game special edition art book, infringing Nintendo's rights."

Just eight minutes after Nintendo sent a delete notification to Discord, the platform acknowledged the complaint and told Nintendo that the content "will be deleted immediately."

About ten hours after sending out the initial removal notice, Nintendo followed up with a request for Discord Channel to "review and remove immediately," noting that members were still using direct messages and links to distribute leaked content.

About eighteen hours later, Discord said it had "alerted the server to the reported activity." In addition, Nintendo objected to Discord's use of the word "official" in the server name because "the server is not operated or licensed by Nintendo."

On April 4, 2023, Nintendo's lawyers filed a DMCA subpoena application in California District Court.

The subpoena will order Discord to disclose the user's identity, including name, address, phone number and email address, stating that "user Julien #2743 posted infringing content that appeared on Discord's channel The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom."

CTOnews.com has not found any follow-up progress. As one of the "strongest legal departments," Nintendo is indeed fast and powerful in tracking leaks.
