"We hope to have more time to get in touch with talent and create excellent products for Japan," Altman said at a press conference. "it's really surprising to see Japan adopt this technology."

Altman and Fumio Kishida discussed the potential of OpenAI's chat robot ChatGPT and how to prevent it from causing adverse effects. They also talked about how to ensure that artificial intelligence is good for humans and how to deal with possible risks.

According to CTOnews.com, Italy announced a ban on the use of ChatGPT on March 31 and restricted its development company OpenAI from processing Italian user information. Subsequently, a number of countries, including Germany, France and Ireland, have also expressed their consideration of "blocking" the technology.

The Japanese government expressed concern about this and said it would assess whether to use artificial intelligence to reduce the work pressure of civil servants.
