This is a color electronic paper specially designed for outdoor digital billboard (DOOH) applications, suitable for outdoor wide temperature range, can provide dynamic color display function, poster-like visual quality, can display colorful and rich information for outdoor public billboards, and take into account the display solution of low-carbon and environmental protection.

According to reports, E Ink Kaleido 3 Outdoor is based on color printed electronic paper technology (Print Color ePaper technology), using RGB color display principle, so that black and white electronic paper film presents a warm color display performance, with 4096 colors, can display bright color image information and clear text display effect, provide comfortable and non-dazzling color digital content viewing experience, the display effect is close to color printing paper billboards.

Its operating temperature ranges from-15 °C to 65 °C, and it can operate normally without expensive energy-intensive heating or cooling equipment in cold or hot climates, reducing additional power consumption.

In many European countries facing the energy crisis, new rules have been put in place to limit the operating time of digital billboards. E Ink Kaleido 3 Outdoor consumes very little power and can even operate on renewable energy from solar panels, without having to rely on the grid, it will replace energy-intensive digital billboards and comply with new regulatory restrictions.

When used for outdoor information display, E Ink Kaleido 3 Outdoor color electronic paper can quickly update dynamic information, and it is more functional and environmentally friendly than traditional paper posters or display boards.

CTOnews.com learned from Yuantai Science and Technology officials that the latest E Ink Kaleido 3 Outdoor color printed e-paper technology will be unveiled as outdoor advertising and transportation applications at the Taiwan Regional Exhibition to be held from April 19 to 21, 2023. The sizes include 13.3in, 25.3in, 42in, etc. It will also be on display at the SID display week at the Los Angeles Convention Center from May 23 to 25.
