Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Wu Yanzu in South China for the delivery of clues! CTOnews.com, April 9, YouTuber @ minteger tested the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor on the latest A620 platform, and the results show that there is indeed a performance gap between the A620 and the X670, but the gap is small.

Since R7 7800X3D, a CPU equipped with 3D cache, cannot overclock, players can choose the entry-level motherboard. In fact, this is one of the configurations recommended by AMD officials and major bloggers, which can still guarantee more than 95% of the high-end experience while significantly reducing costs.

But in any case, the A620 is only an entry-level platform, so most high-end players will not consider the A620 first. However, when paired with the 65W Ryzen 7000 series CPU, the series motherboard is really cost-effective, and some manufacturers' A620 motherboards are equipped with a stronger power supply design, so they also support higher TDP.

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D (X670 vs. A620), source: @ minteger@minteger test results show that there is only a slight difference in performance release between 7800X3D's high-end MSI X670 Gaming P and the entry-level gigabyte A620 Gaming X motherboard (CTOnews.com Note: both have DDR5-6000 memory, but the A620 only uses air cooling, while the X670 uses Liquid Freezer II 420 integrated water cooling).

He believes that the difference between the two is mainly due to frequency, the CPU can reach the level of 4.8~4.9GHz on the X670, while only 4.4~4.6GHz on the A620 platform, which will undoubtedly have an impact on performance.

During the Cinebench cycle test, the CPU power of the A620 hovered around 81W, while the X670 remained stable at the normal 95W level. As shown in the figure below, the difference of 14W is only 5% in the comprehensive test and only 3% in the game.
