CTOnews.com, April 9, Toyota Motor applied to the Ministry of Land and Transport of Japan to recall more than 230000 vehicles, including Sienta, Porte and other five models, about 235000, which were produced from February 2015 to August 2017.

CTOnews.com learned from Japan's Ministry of Land and Transport that defects in the engine starting devices of these five models led to the engine not being able to start. Repeated starting in this state will cause the engine to overheat, and fire may occur in the most serious cases. So far, 13 failures have been reported in these five models, two of which have been confirmed to be on fire.
