CTOnews.com April 6 news, the recent RISC-V single board computer-Star64 officially launched. Star64, designed by open source hardware manufacturer Pine64, covers both 4GB and 8GB memory versions and sells for $69.99 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about RMB482) and $89.99 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about RMB619).

The Star64 single board computer is equipped with Sai Fang Fang Hong 7110 SoC (JH7110), built-in quad-core 64-bit high-performance RISC-V CPU and 3D GPU. The Star64 is equipped with 4GB or 8GB LPDDR4 system memory, 128Mb QSPI NOR flash memory, optional eMMC module (up to 128GB), and microSD slots for booting. In addition, the single board computer also has many peripheral interfaces, such as on-board Wi-Fi 6 module, Bluetooth 5.2 module, PCIe x1 open slot, USB 3.0 Compact 2.0, double Gigabit Ethernet port, MiPi DSI interface, MiPi CSI interface, touch screen interface and so on.

RISC-V instruction set architecture has the characteristics of completely open, concise and flexible, low-cost research and development, which can achieve the balance of cost, power consumption, performance and so on. In the future, Pine64 will launch more RISC-V computing platforms.

JH7110 is a high-performance RISC-V multimedia processor mass produced by Saifang Technology, which has been widely used in VisionFive 2, Star64 and other hardware devices.
