Officials say that Mi Store will no longer allow only 32-bit packets to be available / updated from May 8, 2023; from July 1, 2023, Mi Store will gradually clean up App that does not fit 64-bit. Applications that have not yet been adapted will not be available on the shelf or updated separately. Developers are requested to complete the adaptation as soon as possible.

Xiaomi said that from 2023, the Arm architecture CPU kernel will be forced to use 64-bit, 32-bit instructions will be eliminated. In order to better improve the performance experience of Android applications and reduce the power consumption impact of Android applications, Xiaomi will appropriately promote 64-bit work.

64-bit migration is the inevitable direction of the ecological development of mobile applications, which means that applications will get greater improvements in security, performance, power consumption and so on. At present, the Arm architecture is gradually restricting the operation of 32-bit applications. It is expected that by the end of 2023, the IP architecture of Arm in flagship computers will only support 64-bit applications, bringing as much as 20% potential performance improvement to users.
