The new energy vehicle market retailed 549000 vehicles in March, up 5% from the same period last year.

Since the beginning of this year, retail sales have totaled 4.275 million, down 13 percent from the same period last year. National passenger car manufacturers wholesale 1.955 million vehicles, up 7 percent from the same period last year and 22 percent over the previous month. A total of 5.021 million vehicles have been wholesale so far this year, down 8 per cent from the same period last year.

Preliminary statistics show that from March 1 to 31, retail sales of new energy vehicles in the market were 549000, an increase of 5% over the same period last year and 27% over the previous month. Since the beginning of this year, retail sales have totaled 1.319 million, up 15 percent from the same period last year. New energy, a national passenger car manufacturer, wholesale 599000 vehicles, up 32 percent from the same period last year and 21 percent over the previous month. The HKCEC pointed out that in February 2023, the wholesale sales of the 10 manufacturers that sold more than 10,000 new energy vehicles in the national passenger car market accounted for 83% of the total monthly sales of new energy passenger vehicles, and the estimated sales volume of these enterprises in March was 477000. According to the normal structure ratio, the national sales of new energy passenger vehicles in March is more than 570000. Considering that the sales of new energy vehicles in some small and medium-sized enterprises have improved greatly compared with February, the passenger car market in March can be more optimistic.

According to a comprehensive estimate of the Federation, wholesale sales of 600000 new energy passenger cars were sold in March, an increase of 20 per cent month-on-month and 30 per cent year-on-year. Manufacturers of new energy vehicles are expected to sell 1.48 million in the first quarter, an increase of 25% over the same period last year, and new energy passenger vehicles are basically off to a good start.
