Microsoft has previously allowed users to block automatic video playback with one click without the help of third-party extensions. Microsoft later removed the "Block" option and provided only the "Allow" and "Limit" options by default.

In the Edge Canary preview update, users can access the "edge://settings/content/mediaAutoplay" page in the address bar and see the "block" option.
