According to the paper, Chen Ping, a researcher at Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Cao Hujun, an associate researcher team, put forward a new material design and development strategy, which created a large number of nanocrystals and lattice defects in rare earth hydride-lanthanum hydride lattice by mechanical ball milling, resulting in the distortion of lanthanum hydride lattice, thus significantly restraining the conduction of electrons and realizing the rapid conduction of pure hydrogen negative ions.
Previously, hydrogen negative ion conductors could only achieve ultrafast conduction at about 300 degrees Celsius, but this study achieved ultrafast conduction in the range of minus 40 degrees Celsius to 80 degrees Celsius, opening up a new way for the research and development of hydrogen negative ion conductors.
