According to Volkswagen officials, the car uses their newly developed motor (code name APP550), which is the most powerful and torque model of the ID series, and its power unit is developed and produced by the Kassel-based Volkswagen Group parts Company.

The new car's electric drive system is first optimized in terms of energy consumption: depending on the size of the battery, the WLTP is expected to have a range of up to 700km and a charging power of up to 200kW. Therefore, ID.7 is more suitable for long-distance travel, especially for users who drive frequently.

The new car's optional adaptive chassis control system (DCC) and the driving dynamic manager of the long-distance travel limousine have been fundamentally enhanced to further ensure accurate driving behavior and stability.
