CTOnews.com, April 5, China Mobile Zhejiang Co., Ltd., in conjunction with Huawei, took the lead in completing the technical verification based on 5G-Advanced (also known as 5G-An or 5.5G), and realized a number of performance verification in the field, including very large-scale antenna array, 8-stream MIMO, enhanced UPF dynamic multi-core aggregation, intelligent offload and so on, and measured the peak rate of a single user exceeding 10Gbps, which is 10 times higher than that of 5G. This paper demonstrates the key technical requirements for 5G-A to realize the downlink 10 gigabit rate from core network, base station to terminal, which lays the foundation for the maturity of 5G-An end-to-end industry.

Officials said that this marks 5G officially entered the 10 trillion era, Hangzhou after the country's 5G first city, once again to the "5.5G first city" forward.

According to reports, compared with 5G, 5G-Advanced has a 10-fold ability to achieve the key technical requirements of downlink 10 gigabytes from the core network, base stations to terminals, laying the foundation for the maturity of the end-to-end industry.

According to previous CTOnews.com reports, Yang Chaobin, senior vice president of Huawei and president of ICT products and solutions, said on MWC23 on March 2 that 6G is still in the early research stage, so 5.5G is the only way for the next upgrade and evolution of 5G network, and the industry is accelerating to form a consensus, which is a deterministic industry development trend.

Huawei 5.5G can provide downlink 10Gbps at a rate equivalent to a tenfold increase from the original 5G 1Gbps, as well as a tenfold improvement in latency, location and reliability.
