CTOnews.com April 5 news, the whistleblower Tom Henderson revealed that Sony will launch a new PlayStation handheld device, code-named Q Lite, with the goal of becoming another hardware product that requires PlayStation 5 (similar to PS VR2), and some netizens have speculated that it will be PS Vita 2.

Jeff Grubb also solemnly pointed out that after hearing the news that Sony's new handset is coming, he said that Sony does have a cloud-streaming handset, advising users to lower their expectations.

According to Tom, this "Q Lite" is not a cloud game streaming device, but a handset based on PS5 remote gaming function. It is currently in the QA phase and is scheduled to be released before next year's PlayStation 5 Pro (unnamed), but later than the 2023 PS5 with removable disk drives.

The new device has an adaptive screen of up to 1080p 60FPS, but requires full networking.

Early prototypes showed that the handset looked a lot like a PlayStation 5 controller, but in the center was an 8-inch LCD touch screen. It is said that the handset has adaptive buttons to support "tactile feedback", as well as volume buttons, speakers, audio input jacks and so on.
