CTOnews.com, April 5 (Xinhua)-- Foreign manufacturer Kobo has launched a new e-reader, the Kobo Elipsa 2e, with an upgraded stylus at a price of $399.99 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 2752 yuan).

From the outside, Kobo Elipsa 2e seems to be a minor upgrade of the previous generation of Kobo Elipsa at the same price. The reader features a 10.3in E Ink Carta 1200 non-glare ink screen with a resolution of 1404 x 1872 and a display density of 227 PPI, which is basically the same as the previous generation.

Kobo Elipsa 2e built-in technology minimizes blue light exposure and supports Bluetooth, storage space with 32GB, and weighs 390g.

The Kobo Elipsa 2e is equipped with an upgraded stylus to provide a "better and faster writing experience". The redesigned Kobo Stylus 2 stylus supports magnetic charging, so there is no need to replace the 3A battery. At the same time, the eraser of the pen is now at the end, which is more in line with the habit of using the pen, and can also convert handwritten content into text.

In addition, comments are always visible now, even if the user changes settings such as font size or page layout. Other improvements include a built-in laptop that is easier to search for and longer battery life.

The shell of Kobo Elipsa 2e is made of more than 85 per cent of recycled plastic, 10 per cent of which comes from marine plastics. Meanwhile, the new Kobo Elipsa 2e SleepCover cover is made of more than 97 per cent of recycled plastic.
