According to a notice issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on April 5, the first orbit test of the SpaceX starship system could be carried out as early as next week.

According to a notice posted on the FAA website on Tuesday, the possible launch date of the starship system is April 10, and the backup launch dates are April 11 and 12. This information appears in FAA's daily air traffic operation plan to inform airlines and others of what events may cause flight delays.

However, the launch of SpaceX has not been officially approved by FAA, and the launch time of the starship system is still uncertain. Because the notice was issued by FAA's Air Traffic Organization (ATO), it has no say in the approval process for commercial space launches.

FAA said the notice, which appeared on its website on Tuesday, "should not be interpreted to mean that FAA has decided or is about to issue launch permits" and that "FAA will make a decision only after SpaceX meets all safety and other regulatory requirements".

SpaceX didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

The starship system may not be launched on April 10, and it is not clear whether it can be launched on April 11 and 12, according to people familiar with the matter.

Starships are a new generation of rocket systems developed by SpaceX that can send goods and people to the moon and Mars. The company's latest launch test plan is to send the starship into orbit and fly around the earth.
