In addition, the white paper also predicts that cross-border, digital and low-carbon will be the three major trends in the innovation and development of logistics enterprises in the future. In the context of the vigorous development of the global cross-border e-commerce market, many companies engaged in cross-border transportation and order fulfillment will expand their range of services and global influence.

For example, freight forwarders not only coordinate shipping or air transportation to and from the port for their customers, but also arrange inland transport, customs declaration document preparation, warehousing and order fulfillment services in and out of the port; similarly, some large e-commerce logistics are also constantly expanding their service boundaries, from early service for domestic merchants to focusing on cross-border sellers. For example, Cainiao currently provides end-to-end cross-border logistics solutions in China and more than 100 countries and regions around the world, including transporting goods from China to overseas markets such as Europe and the United States.

In terms of how to select suitable cross-border logistics service providers, the white paper suggests that businesses should analyze and compare a number of factors, including the professional level of logistics service providers and their familiarity with the target market, expected sales and demand patterns, as well as the characteristics of their products for comprehensive evaluation.
