CTOnews.com April 4 news, Google today released the April 2023 Android security announcement. As usual, Google has released two patch levels, including 2023-04-01 for Android and frameworks, and 2023-04-05, which includes vendor security fixes.

Ten vulnerabilities in Framework were fixed in the 2023-04-01 level patch, with risk levels of "high risk" and "medium risk", mainly privilege escalation and denial of service vulnerabilities.

Sixteen vulnerabilities were found in Android System, of which 2 were "critical" and the rest were "high risk". This level of patch also fixes problems in the MediaProvider and Wifi components of Google Play.

The 2023-04-05 level patch fixes 41 vulnerabilities from vendors, 4 of which are marked as "critical", all involving Qualcomm components. The patch fixes a total of 69 vulnerabilities.
