At the beginning of this year, under the influence of many factors such as the withdrawal of new energy vehicles, the domestic new energy vehicle market experienced a long-term downturn. Except BYD sales growth realized positive growth, other automobile enterprises all experienced different degrees of decline.

After entering March, the price war intensified, perhaps affected by this, new energy vehicle sales in March ushered in a recovery. According to the forecast of the Association, the retail sales volume of new energy vehicles in March was about 560,000 vehicles, with a month-on-month growth of 27.5% and a year-on-year growth of 25.8%, and the penetration rate was about 35.2%.

In the first two days of April, a number of new energy automobile enterprises released sales data for March. Among them, BYD and GAC Ai 'an have ushered in a new monthly sales volume, while the sales volume of other automobile enterprises has basically realized month-on-month growth, but there are also some automobile enterprises showing a certain decline. Let's take a specific look at the performance of each automobile enterprise.

BYD accelerated again, and the monthly sales volume of GAC Ai 'an broke the 40,000 mark for the first time. BYD's sales volume accelerated again in March, with 207,080 vehicles sold, up 97.4% year-on-year; among them, passenger car sales volume was 206,089, up 97.5% year-on-year and 6.9% month-on-month; passenger car exports were 13312.

It is worth mentioning that this is also BYD monthly sales for the first time exceeded 200,000 vehicles mark, at the same time very hopeful to surpass the North and South Volkswagen to become the real domestic sales champion. In addition, BYD sold 103,419 DM hybrid models and 102,670 EV pure electric models in March, which were basically flat.

BYD Dynasty and Ocean Network sold 195,691 vehicles in March, up 87.6% year-on-year. Among them, BYD Qin Plus DM-i 2023 champion version was launched in early February, the starting price of 99,800 yuan hit the joint venture brand A-class car market in the way of "price reduction and additional matching." BYD's high-end Tengshi brand sold 10398 vehicles in March, up 42.0% month-on-month. With only one model, and still in the relatively niche MPV market, Tengshi D9's performance is really outstanding, the average car price of 415,000 yuan, at present has been more than 350,000 new energy luxury MPV sales champion, at the same time D9 has also become the first monthly sales of ten thousand new energy luxury MPV models.

In the first quarter of this year, BYD sold 552,076 vehicles, up 92.81% year-on-year. So far, BYD's cumulative sales of new energy vehicles have reached 3.9 million.

It is roughly estimated that BYD will usher in the 4 millionth new energy vehicle in mid-April, and just ushered in the 3 millionth vehicle in mid-November. BYD took 13 years from the first to the millionth vehicle; one year from 1 million to 2 million; half a year from 2 million to 3 million, and five months from the 3 million to 4 million.

GAC Ai 'an also handed over a good report card, with sales reaching 40,016 vehicles in March, up 97% year-on-year and 33% month-on-month. This is also the first time that Ai' an's monthly sales exceeded 40,000 vehicles. From January to March 2023, the cumulative sales volume of Ai 'an is 80308 vehicles.

At present, GAC Ai 'an has become the existence second only to BYD in China, but the impact on the middle and high-end still has not achieved very ideal effect. In March, the sales volume of AION S and Y middle and low-end car series reached about 80%.

In addition, Aian's high-end models are not progressing very smoothly. Recently, GAC Group issued an announcement saying that its GAC Ai 'an "AH8 Project" was changed from joint development with Huawei to independent development, and the cooperation mode after project downgrade was changed from Huawei Inside mode to parts supplier mode.

It is reported that AH8 is the independent high-end model of GAC Ai 'an, and it is also an important strategic model in its model planning. It carries the upward mission of Ai' an brand. The first SUV model is planned to be launched in 2023. At present, I don't know whether the plan will be postponed.

Ideal ranks first among the new forces, and Xiaopeng's sales gradually pick up. Ideal has stabilized its position as a brother among the new forces. In March, sales exceeded 20,000 vehicles again, reaching 20,823 vehicles, up 88.7% year-on-year. From January to March this year, the ideal cumulative delivery was 52,584 vehicles, an increase of 65.8% compared with the first quarter of 2022.

As the ideal first five-seater SUV, the ideal L7 began delivery in March, which helped the ideal sales. In addition, the ideal L7 Air and L8 Air models will also be delivered in April, we can look forward to the ideal April sales, there is a chance to hit a new high.

Weilai delivered 10,378 vehicles in March, a slight increase of 3.9% year-on-year, including 3,203 high-end smart electric SUVs and 7,175 high-end smart electric cars. Although Weilai did not announce the sales volume of specific models, but from the data of risk, the monthly sales volume of Weilai ET5 has been close to 6000 vehicles, and the performance is still very good.

In the first quarter of 2023, Weilai delivered 31,041 new vehicles, up 20.5% year-on-year; so far, Weilai has delivered 320,597 new vehicles cumulatively.

According to official information, Weilai will have three new cars released this year, while the new ES6 will debut at the Shanghai Auto Show.

Xiaopeng sales in March finally showed signs of recovery, with 7,002 vehicles delivered, up 17% month-on-month. Among them, 3030 P7 models were delivered, up 32% month-on-month.

Xiaopeng P7i was launched on March 10 and has been delivered in Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu and other cities. In the poor performance environment of G9 market, P7i is highly expected by Xiaopeng. Although the delivery quantity in March is limited, according to the latest news, the order situation of P7i is still very good, and it is expected to continue to improve in April.

In addition, in the field of intelligent driving, Xiao Peng has made the latest progress. On the last day of March, Xiaopeng officially pushed the first stage capability of XNGP to users of Xiaopeng G9 and P7i Max version, opened urban NGP function in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai, and opened straight traffic lights to identify start-stop and cross-line detour obstacles in all cities without high-precision maps nationwide.

According to Xiaopeng's plan, in the second half of this year, the ability of automatic lane change, overtaking and left-right turning will be opened in cities without high-precision map coverage, and it is expected that in 2024, the ultimate form of XNGP will be launched: realizing full-scene assisted driving capability from parking space to parking space.

Inquiries continued to be depressed, and the performance of Extreme Krypton failed to meet expectations. Sales of Nezha cars broke through 10,087 vehicles again in March, with a total of 10,087 vehicles delivered. Among them, 4793 Nezha V vehicles were delivered, 3088 Nezha U vehicles were delivered, and 2206 Nezha S vehicles were delivered. In the first quarter of this year, 26176 vehicles were delivered.

It is worth mentioning that on March 21,3600 Nezha V were shipped from Nansha Port of Guangzhou to Thailand market and delivered to local users in March. It is reported that this car goes to sea, is the largest single batch export among the new forces of Chinese car-making. In addition, Nezha's first two-door four-seater pure electric sports car, officially named "Nezha GT," will be delivered in the first half of this year.

The sales volume of Polar Krypton brand in March was 6,663 units, up 271% year-on-year and 22% month-on-month. The good news is that the sales volume of Extreme Krypton 009 has finally come up. According to the data on risk, the monthly sales volume of Extreme Krypton 009 is basically about 2000 vehicles, which is excellent for a luxury MPV with an average order amount of 527,000 yuan.

The bad news, however, is that sales of the polar krypton 001 have fallen further, with sales in March of just over 4000 vehicles, compared with a cut at the end of last year. In the past, Extreme Krypton relied on a 001 to win the world, but now 009 sales have increased momentum, but MPV market space is limited, Extreme Krypton needs to think of a way.

Sales of zero-run cars continued to pick up, with 6,172 new cars delivered in March, up 93% month-on-month. According to the order structure, the order proportion of new products of C platform series is about 80%, and the monthly lock order of C11 vehicle series exceeds 10000 vehicles.

On March 1, the zero-running car held a new product launch conference, released the brand-new C11 extended range and 2023 models of C01, C11 pure electric, T03 new products, the price is further reduced, with the C11 extended range version of the sixth consecutive delivery, zero-running sales began to gradually recover. According to the product planning of zero-run cars, all future models will be launched simultaneously with extended range and pure electric versions.

March may be the most troublesome, sales once again hovering in the low numbers, sales of only 3,679 vehicles, an increase of 5% month-on-month, but sales in the first quarter only 11659 vehicles.
